Title: Meeting God in Little Moments

About two years ago, I found myself often anxious, sad, and worried about many things. I prayed and asked God to draw me closer to Him, so that I could find peace and joy in my heart again. In December 2019, I picked up a journal and started writing three things that I was grateful for every day, while devoting more time to reading my Bible and praying as well.
Practicing gratitude and finding time to communicate with the Lord daily taught me that there are so many ways for me to find God in the everyday moments of life. I started noticing His provision—like when most of my family lost our jobs during quarantine, but we still had food to eat, and when I felt His love through a friend who sent me a care package when I felt down.
One of my favorite verses is Lamentations 3:22-23 which states, “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
This past year has definitely made me more aware of the Lord’s everyday mercies in my life—even in mundane moments. I would love to be able to inspire others to see how our mighty God can move and work in “small” ways to speak to our souls.
