Are You Low-key Bored of the Christmas Story?

Title: Are You Low-key Bored of The Christmas Story?

Description: Two millennia ago in Bethlehem, Jesus arrived in a very low-key fashion, His birth was almost a non-event.

Even though He had a low-key arrival and lacked the pom and splendour of a royal birth, His event was highly anticipated by the people who were living under the oppressive Roman regiment—His low-key birth was of high-key significance to them because it was the fulfilment of a prophecy made 2,000 years ago.

Too often we’re focused on Jesus’s big miracles and healings, and we don’t often think of His birth. Or perhaps, we’re overly familiar with the story of His birth, and we forget a major turning point and highlight His birth had on history and our lives.

This Christmas, if you’re feeling a little low-key bored of the Christmas story, refresh yourself with these seemingly small events of grand importance as seen in Luke 2.
