Suicide: The Masks We Wear

Title: Suicide: The Masks We Wear
Artwork by: YMI x @chiketania
Description: What does someone suffering from suicide ideation look like? Does it look like reclusive behaviour? Or maybe a state of depression and dwindled motivation? These are indeed possible signs that someone might be suffering from such thoughts.

However, oftentimes, these thoughts are masked by a facade, leaving little to no indication of the true struggles a person is going through.

With it being difficult to truly know what others are going through, we should ask ourselves if we are making an effort to be present in our friends’ lives; to care enough to notice when something is amiss.

We are called to support one another, to lift one another up when one falls (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). We can also, most importantly, trust in God’s restoration in the lives of all who are suffering in silence—you are not alone.
