The 100 Day Project
Title: The 100 Day Project
Materials: Watercolor, 3″x4″ Watercolor paper
Description: I joined The 100 Day Project for two reasons: (1) to cultivate an old passion (painting) that I’d neglected for over a decade and (2) to de-stress after tough teaching days. I decided to create one 3″ by 4″ piece using watercolor and ink for 100 days. Although #100Daysof3x4s started out as a small pet project, it became a huge source of blessing and growth. Making these cards forced me to slow down and meditate on God’s Word and Bible-inspired wisdom. It didn’t start and end with me, though; to my surprise, it seemed like God used these teeny 3×4 cards to encourage others, too!
Through this process, not only did I regain my love for painting and making, but I also grew in my wonderment of God’s creation. I also was reminded that everyone–including myself–has been given specific passions, talents, gifts, experiences, etc. that He can/will use. I think a lot of times we doubt ourselves or wonder whether or not God can use us. I would encourage everyone to ask herself/himself, “What has God entrusted me with, and how can I use that to love Him and love others with all that He’s given me?”
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” –1 Corinthians 10:31 (ESV)
Here are 12 of my 100 paintings. The rest are found on my Instagram @lizzchu.

I wholeheartedly believe that God fearfully and wonderfully created every single person with unique talents, gifts, passions, and experiences, and He is able to use these things for our good and His glory. In my case, God made me a lover of making, painting, and words. Before walking with Christ, I used these passions and talents for myself–to fulfill my secular worldview, my happiness, whatever I thought was cool, my glory. I’m so thankful that God’s been chipping away at this heart of mine and redeeming this God-given love.

I love painting but I don’t have time to paint nowadays. This project offered me ambition to continue my passion despite the busy times and to give glory to the King of Kings through this. The colours and the calligraphy are very nice! Keep doing the good job! 🙂
Hi Tabita,
Thank you so much for your encouraging words! I’m so glad that God used these little cards to continue to paint for your joy and His glory! I hope everything’s going well! 🙂
Thank you for sharing your work!
Are these items for purchase, could you give me info please?
