Description: If we equate loving someone with feeling the right way about that person, it makes love all the more difficult, because we can’t simply will ourselves into feeling differently. Feelings of hurt and anger will insist that love is impossible. 

Where we can’t reason or will ourselves into loving, Jesus offers us a love that surpasses understanding and carries incomparable power (Ephesians 3:17-19). This is not a love we take in and give out on our own, but only through the Holy Spirit.

The only thing left for us to do is to exercise our faith by not hardening our hearts, but instead yielding continually to the Spirit and trusting Him to help us do beyond what we can imagine.
