Abraham was told to uproot and leave everything he had ever known to go in search of a land that God had promised him; and he did just that! Hebrews 11 remembers him as a man of faith.

It needed great faith in God and His promises for Abraham to radically change his entire life, and this is also true for us today.

While the world might tell us that money, status, and our career are of first importance, we know that these things are only temporary. Jesus has promised that He will usher in the new heaven and earth when He returns; this life is just a point in the vast wall of eternity.

Faith is needed as we cling onto God’s promises of a new heaven and earth; let’s look forward to the day we meet God face to face, knowing that He keeps His promises!
