Title: Why Do I Always Think I’m Not Good Enough?

Description: Self-doubt seems to be the norm for many of us these days, and while we all have insecurities, sometimes we can let them get to us, to the point that we’re constantly fretting about not being good enough.

When Paul wrote how “the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7), he was encouraging Timothy to preach the gospel boldly. Since we too are gospel bearers, we can learn the principle here–God does not want us to live a timid and fearful life; He wants us to live in a way that demonstrates a strong confidence in His enabling.

This constant, nagging fear of not being good enough—shall we lay it at Jesus’s feet, and exchange it for courage and trust in Him?
