There could be aspects of the gospel that we have not really settled in our hearts. For example, do we truly believe and accept that…

· apart from Christ, no good is in us?
· our own efforts to draw close is futile?
· living surrendered to God is better?

Only when we have truly rested in these truths will we become confident that the gospel is really Good News.
