God longs to offer us His friendship, to walk with us closely as He did with Abraham and Moses. But a close friendship with God doesn’t simply happen without any effort on our part—it involves actively seeking Him, listening to His heart, and choosing to obey Him wholeheartedly. In return, the Lord promises to draw us into His confidence and reveal His promises and wisdom.

Lord, thank You for extending Your friendship to us. Give us hearts that are inclined towards You. May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be ever pleasing to You.
