I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God called me (ref. Philippians 3:14)

Typography: Philippians 3:14

Many of us are in pursuit of one goal or another—travel, a comfortable lifestyle, getting married— where the “prize” is usually (mainly) our happiness.

But as Christians, we’re called to a higher pursuit, to live for the gospel. Knowing how precious the prize is—a lifetime in Jesus’s presence—the Apostle Paul did everything to press on.

Pressing on is more than enduring overtime to earn funds for a holiday trip, or braving the dating apps to find the right person. It means persevering through suffering so that the world can know the “prize” of Jesus Himself.
