The fear of the Lord teaches wisdom. (Prov. 15:33, NLT)

Typography: Proverbs 15:33

What does it mean to “fear the Lord”?

It’s not fear the way we fear harm. It’s a good kind of fear, one that knows that He is our loving Father, yet He is still God—holy, powerful, just.

How does fearing God bring us wisdom?

When we fear God, we would treat sin seriously and avoid it, and that is wise.

When we fear God, we would value what He values. We would care about what He wants for us and seek Him for it, and that is very wise to do.
