One thing I seek: that I may dwell in the house of Lord. (Ref. Psalm 27:4)

Typography: Psalm 27:4

If there was a place or a home you could dwell in forever, what would your answer be? Would it be a luxurious resort, or a palatial house, or maybe you’re happy to just hang out in your humble abode?

King David is no stranger to beauty and opulence, with grand palaces decked in finest gold. But yet, he knows just the place he’d love to chill in–God’s house. He longs to “dwell in the house of the Lord” (Psalm 27:4) all the days of his life, so he can “gaze on the beauty of the Lord”.

May we cultivate a desire just like King David’s–to hang out with God as we bask in His light and beauty.

REFLECT:

What does it mean for you personally to dwell in the house of the Lord? Does God’s presence mean everything to you, so much so that you look forward to basking in His constant goodness?
