He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. (Phil 1:6)

Typography: Phil 1:6

It’s difficult to complete a work that someone else started, especially if we don’t have the blueprint for what the person originally had in mind.

In the same way, no matter how hard we try, we can’t will ourselves towards a life of self-righteousness and self-improvement. Instead, let’s find joy and rest in knowing that while we don’t know what the end of our lives will be like, God does.

He’s the one who holds the blueprint to our lives. And when He’s done chiselling away at it, the result will be a marvellous testimony of His glory and grace.

PRAY:

Father, I delight in the truth that You’ll bring the good work you started in me to completion. Help me to yield myself to you completely, that You may do the work that’s need in my life, and I may be pure and blameless when Jesus returns.
