A friend’s comforting embrace, the warmth of our beds, the safety of our homes–these are among the places we seek refuge when we’re bowled over by life. In that moment, we feel secure, loved, and protected, with the Big Bad Wolf of Life kept at bay.

Imagine then how much more awesome it is to be in the refuge of God. He’s our “dwelling place throughout all generations” (Psalm 90:1). The Creator who brought forth the entire world, protects and shelters us. He is our Home, for our present life on earth and the one to come, from “everlasting to everlasting”, He’s our God. So come, let Him cover you in His love.

Ponder on the words “from everlasting to everlasting”. Let these words seep into your soul as you consider the magnificent God who doesn’t age, rot, or fade, but is the same steadfast promise keeper who is for us now and into the future. From everlasting to everlasting, He is our God.
