He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. Job 5:9

Typography: Job 5:9

We easily declare there’s a God when we admire cascading waterfalls, or fawn over a newborn baby (or puppy!). Yet, we’re also the first to question God’s existence when trials come our way and suddenly, God isn’t so awesome anymore.

While it can be hard praising God when things aren’t going smoothly, lifting our eyes to Him and reminding ourselves that He’s a God who “performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted” (Job 5:9), can show us just how BIG God is. But He also isn’t a cosmic show-off, He’s very very near to us-—He’s the Father who sets the lowly on high, and lifts those who mourn to safety (v 11), and that’s how we know He’s with us in our trials.

PRAY:

Dear God, when I’m overwhelmed with the problems of life, remind me again how big You are. Bring to my mind the miracles You have worked in my life, and help me to find comfort in the closeness of Your presence.
