A bruised reed He will not break. Matthew 12:20

Typography: Matthew 12:20

He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory. In his name the nations will put their hope. Matthew 12:19-21

Do you feel like you’re at breaking point, on the verge of giving up and walking away?

Jesus promises to preserve you, no matter how frail and brittle, no matter how weak you are. That you’re still struggling to keep the faith is precious in His sight. Our gentle Saviour, who came quietly and lowered Himself to reach the downtrodden, holds you in His careful grasp. He will not let you fall away.

PRAY:
Jesus, my merciful high priest, I trust that You are interceding for me in this very moment. You know what it’s like to be in great pain and fear, to feel forsaken, and this is what it feels like for me now. So please, Lord, hold me fast. Do not let me lose my faith. Do not let me be lost. Restore the joy of my salvation, and preserve my hope in You.
