“It shouldn’t have been this way,” you think as you reel in the hurt of a broken relationship, or perhaps tragedy has fallen on a loved one, or you’ve been a victim of an unfair workplace incident.

Life can be horrible in our fallen world.

But this is where God swoops in to wrap us up in His gentle love. He sits with us through our ugly tears, our hurts, and our confusion. He draws us into His loving arms because the God of all Comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3) is “close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18).

PRAY:
Father, it’s really hard to pray through this pain, but I know You’re right here with me. Nothing makes sense right now, but I know You’ll carry me through this. Help me experience Your love and comfort. Amen.
