Let’s say a stranger saved you from being hit by a runaway bus. Your gratitude to this person would overspill to your social media as you recount your story to everyone, and this heroic gesture would be stored in your heart for years to come.
2,000 years ago, Jesus was sent by God, who loved us so much, to save us from our runaway sins. Jesus’ love for us, and His desire to be reunited with us in Heaven, saw Him nailed to the cross, and gladly He went without expecting anything in return.
Isn’t this a gesture worth singing and telling others about?
PRAY:
Father, thank you for the gift of salvation. Awaken afresh in me the knowledge of how much You love me, and what a precious sacrifice Jesus has done for me. Amen.
