God didn’t give us His Word to read it like a step-by-step manual (what to do, where to go). He gave us the Bible that we may gain wisdom as we put what we learned into practice.

Which is why it’s worth noting that God’s word is described as a lamp, not a floodlight—it gives us just enough light to keep us from stumbling and take the next step in faith.

Let’s pray: Lord, thank You that we have Your Word to light our path, so that we can walk faithfully without worrying about every single step. Amen.
