Honouring one another above ourselves is countercultural in our society. But when we choose to honour and value others by putting their preferences above our own, it points others back to the countercultural, sacrificial love of Christ, who gave up everything for us.

Lord, help me cultivate a mindset of placing others before myself. Amen.
