Artist’s Reflection

Christmas is a time to remember Jesus. Unfortunately, it now seems to have become more of an excuse for seasonal food, gift-giving, and family gatherings. At least, this was the case for me before I met Jesus for myself.

Despite having gone to church throughout my whole childhood, I quickly discarded the religious mask I wore on Sundays when I left for university. But a year later, God mercifully and graciously revealed His glorious beauty and my dreadful sins. Now, I can confidently confess that Christ is the Hope of Glory for the whole world, and what better season to share this truth through evangelism than this season of Christmas? Indeed, I’m in awe as I write thisChrist is in you and in me, too.

Through this illustration, I wanted to convey that as Christians, the hope of Jesus enables us to truly sing and worship God, even in the darkest times of our lives. Let us be this light this December, reflecting God’s great glory and praising Him for His gracious gift in Christ!

Praise the Lord!

There’s something hopeful and joyous that hangs in the air every Christmas. It could be the beautiful gifts beckoning us from shop windows. The Christmas carols that tug on our heartstrings. The happy realisation that, ahh, finally, the year has come to an end.

Whatever Christmas means to us, and however we celebrate it, let’s remember the best present God has given us—Jesus Christ.

In Him, we have the promises of “Christ in us, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). It’s the fullness of joy and the glorious hope we have in Him right here, right now, as well as the promise of an inheritance in God’s Kingdom that will never perish, spoil or fade.

This Christmas, why not share this wonderful gift of everlasting hope with someone? Jesus is waiting to wrap them up in His arms, filling their hearts with His unconditional love.

If you have a crackling good story to share this Christmas, we want to hear from you. Check out our writer’s guidelines and start writing to us!

Being chosen by God

Identity in Christ (what it means to be chosen and set apart), sanctification, serving others, spiritual gifts & calling, justice & mercy, the joy of being part of God’s family, abiding in Christ, growing in confidence in our walk with God, living by faith, making radical choices for Christ, living a life that’s secure in Christ, being shepherded by Christ, discovering purpose, dealing with fears/anxiety about obeying Christ, walking with Christ through the difficulties of life.

Living a life that radiates Christ

Sharing the gospel with others, growing in Christlikeness, growing in spiritual maturity, what it means to live set apart lives, being transformed by Christ (stories/testimonies of being changed by Christ), setting an example in the workplace, living a life that points others to Christ.

Our hope and future glory in Christ

Godly hope vs worldly hope, our glorious future in Christ, living with eternity in mind, storing up treasures in heaven.
