Steep

Title: Steep
Artwork by: Christopher Ray (@christopher.ray.writes)
Description: I have come to know the Lord through reading His word. I write to steep in His truth, which gives me clarity, grace, faith, and courage!  I share because I hope it will inspire others to steep themselves in His goodness as well. Let’s seek to know God together through spending undivided time with Him in His word!

The first time I tried reading the bible I had just finished primary school and I was facing a long break in between grade school and high school ….

I had no idea of what I was getting myself into but the thought crossed my mind to spend this time in bible study …

With no previous knowledge I began slowly writing verses on a piece of paper …

Verses I saw reaching out of the pages of the scripture to my head and heart …

But I soon grew weary of this exercise and I put down my bible and assumed an agnostic posture …

For 8 yrs I stayed away from any talk of godly stuff until i joined a new church next to my crib …

Slowly but surely God began working on my mind and heart and I came to the alter and rededicated myself to the Lord and my love for reading the scripture came creeping back …

Soon I was doing things I had not done in years …

Things like writing and reading …

I found a link to this website on the back of a ODB devotional and checked it out of curiosity …

I was new in salvation but I found myself preaching to youth my age on YMI and the rest I can’t recount here its a long story !!!

My love for the new things am still working on has taken 12 yrs …. Am still a work in progress …

As we continue to persue excellence in all things let us not loose sight of this fact …

Its not what we do …

Its who we do it for …

    GOE …

    God Over Everything !!!
