Title: The Journey
Materials: Watercolour
Description: Life is a journey all of us are on. Along the way, we may get lost or experience loss. In these moments, we can’t help but ask: What do we do? Which way do we go? How do we navigate life’s maze? Finding the way starts with knowing who can show us the way. We hope God’s truth will encourage you today.

    Samuel Mwaura says:

our journey may take us places we haven’t been … places we don’t want to go … and places we only dream we would go…

A quote i had from Bilbo Baggins from the Lord of the Rings went something like this ….

Its a dangerous business Frodo going out the front door … and if you don’t keep your footing there’s no telling where you will be swept off too !!!

When i read that Moses spent 40 days and nights without food and water interceding on behalf of an Israelite camp that Yahweh wanted to destroy for their incessant wickedness i remember that earlier on Moses had spent the same amount of time in God’s presence receiving the 10 Commandments …

Jesus stayed in the desert the same amount of time … lead there by the spirit to be tested ….

John the Baptist went into the desert where he ate locusts and wild honey and drank camels milk before he began his public ministry !!!

when he came out he was looking more like Esau clothed in animal skin and full of body hair …

What am i saying??? that our journey has a beginning point where we experience a desert like environment … Moses stayed in the same desert looking after his father in law’s sheep for 40 yrs before he ever god wind that Yahweh was looking out for him to mature into the kind of Shepherd that was capable of leading God’s flock through the same desert while looking out for them and leading them into the place prepared for Abraham and his descendants.

God has to purge us like he did these men ive mentioned above of what those dealing with metal call dross the scum that comes out of smelting metals so that hrough the fiery furnace of affliction God could use them in the same state pure metal is found after smelting…

out of the fire comes choice silver and pure gold!!
