“Do you love God more than you love sugar?” A small voice in my head asked. I wavered, and was struck by the fact that I actually hesitated. We all have our coping mechanisms in times of stress and pressure.
About Wendy W
Wendy is an aspiring writer, a political science undergraduate, and a disciple of Christ. She hopes that God will use what He’s given her to bless and glorify Him through her work on YMI. Her perfect day includes curling up with a novel, enjoying good food, and going on a hike along with her camera. She hates writing ‘about me’s because, well, how do you define someone in a hundred words? Nevertheless, she hopes you’ll get an insight into her journey with the Lord as you read what she writes.

Imagine sitting cross-legged at a picnic beside a tranquil lake. The setting sun casts a warm hue of orange and pink in the sky. “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” We’ve all read Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:1. It’s a popular verse that’s often used to rebuke Christians for judging the lifestyles, practices, or values of other people.
One of my earliest memories as a child was waiting for a doctor’s appointment with my mother. We were seated side by side in a nondescript waiting room, and seated diagonally across from us was a little girl with her mother.
YMI (which stands for Why Am I?), is a platform for Christian young people all over the world to ask questions about life and discover their true purpose. We are a community with different talents but the same desire to make sense of God’s life-changing word in our everyday lives.
YMI is a part of Our Daily Bread Ministries.
