AN UNEXPECTED ANNOUNCEMENT

Before the baby’s birth, the angel visits Mary:
She will conceive. He will be called Jesus. Son of the Most High.
The virgin submits in complete obedience,
“May your word to me be fulfilled.”

Behold the baby Jesus, will you submit to Him?
[Luke 1:26-30]

Christmas-Mary

A MOMENTOUS DECISION

Before the baby’s birth, the angel appears to Joseph:
Mary will give birth to Jesus. He will save men from sin.
Joseph understands and faithfully obeys.
He takes Mary as his wife and waits till she gives birth.

Behold the baby Jesus, will you obey Him?
[Matthew 1:18-25]

A HUMBLE BIRTHPLACE

Before the baby’s birth, a census of the Roman world is taken.
Joseph and Mary return to register at Bethlehem, the town of David.
It’s time for the baby to be born. There’s no place in the inn.
Mary gives birth in a manger, and wraps Him in cloth.

Behold the baby Jesus, will you have room for Him?
[Luke 2:1-7]

A PIECE OF GREAT NEWS

Behold the baby’s born! The angels proclaim to the shepherds:
“Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth to men”.
Finding the baby in a manger, the shepherds praise God.
They spread the word and all are amazed.

Behold the baby Jesus, will you tell others about Him?
[Luke 2:8-21]

Christmas-Shepherd

A PROMISED DELIVERED

Behold the baby’s born! Simeon carries Him and praises God:
“A light for revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of your people.”
He prophesies about the Lord and blesses Mary and Joseph.
“Dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation.”

Behold the baby Jesus, will you prophesy about Him?

A PROPHECY FULFILLED

Behold the baby’s born! Magi from the East travel to Bethlehem
To visit the ruler who will shepherd the people of Israel
They follow the star till it stops over where the child is
Presenting Him with gifts, they bow and worship Him.

Behold the baby Jesus, will you worship Him?
[Matthew 2:1-12]

Christmas-Wise-Men

A THREAT TO KING HEROD

Behold the baby’s born! King Herod is furious.
He orders that all boys in Bethlehem aged below two are killed.
Thanks to an angel’s message, Joseph, wife and child escape to Egypt.
Back in Bethlehem, there is great weeping and mourning.

Behold the baby Jesus, will you let Him rule?
[Matthew 2:7-1]
