Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

It is so easy to get busy during the Christmas season and miss out on the meaning of it all. Now, imagine if suddenly, an aurora appeared in the skies right above where we are standing, where a display of colourful lights glow and beauty fills the sky. I would stand in awe at such a precious sight! But if we didn’t go out to see, if we didn’t look up into the sky, we just might miss it.

As we celebrate Christmas, let us find a precious time to stop everything we’re doing, to stand in awe of His great love for us, to adore the One that came from Heaven to earth to redeem our relationship with Him.

Star of Wonder

“When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy!” – Matthew 2:10

God doesn’t use the GPS to show us which paths to take, but we can be assured that He will bring us to the destination. Without any form of modern technology, by faith the wise men trusted God and followed the star in obedience. Travelling didn’t take a day, but months. The journey was long, and so was the wait. They could’ve easily disregarded the sign, but the wise men lived by faith in obedience and trusted the Lord. Imagine what great joy they must have felt when they arrived at Bethlehem where Jesus was!

Joy & Peace

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13

As we are reminded of the significance of Christmas, let us rejoice in thanksgiving and worship as we focus our hearts on Him. May we also experience His peace as we trust in His divine ways.
