I Surrender

Title: I Surrender
Materials: Original Song by Peter Tonna
Description:
This song is about surrendering to God. I’ve learnt that when things don’t go the way I planned I get frustrated and upset but there is a peace and freedom when you give your life to God, allowing him to lead and guide. Of course, I will keep doing what I know to do according to his will and word, but not having an expectation of how things should go, rather, allowing the creator of the universe to open and close doors as he sees fit. After all he is sovereign and knows all, and his plans are way better than what I could imagine for myself.

I Surrender

VERSE
All I am is a grain of sand on the shore
A feather in the wind guided by my king I am yours

I can’t do this alone
I don’t know where to go

CHORUS

I surrender
I surrender
I surrender to you
My defender
With love so tender
I surrender to you

VERSE
Show me your will so my heart can be still lead the way
I want nothing more than what you‘ve called me for everyday

You oh God see all things
I trust in all that you bring

CHORUS

I surrender
I surrender
I surrender to you
My defender
With love so tender
Flowing through my veins
I surrender to you

BRIDGE

No doubt this world lets us down
Lord who else can we trust?
We think we know what we want
But it’s you that knows the best for us

CHORUS

I surrender
I surrender
I surrender to you
My defender
With love so tender
Flowing through my veins
I surrender to you

VERSE
All I am is a grain of sand on the shore

ABOUT THE SINGER-SONGWRITER

Music-Man2

I come from Sydney, Australia and I’ve been writing music for about 20 years. I’m a creative person! Apart from songwriting, I also draw, paint and delve into a little carpentry from time to time. Creativity is God’s gift to me and whenever I am using this gift, I feel that it’s my act of worship. I hope to use all the talents and gifts he has given me for his glory and to inspire positive change in the world.
