    Because we all make mistakes and think about our regrets. Having a fresh start helps us to hope and aspire. But not everyone is able to have a fresh start. We can enjoy a new start because we have a gracious and compassionate God.

    Lamentations 3 came to mind as I consider this. The Israelites are grieved because of their afflictions but they have great hope ‘Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.’ (v22-23).

    Reading the word ‘fresh start’ gives me pictures of waking up on green pastures, walking beside quiet waters, or just sensations of the morning breeze. Sometimes we get caught up in the daily bustles of life, we feel as if we’re in a never ending maze with thorns all around us.
    A fresh start provides us a means to renew our focus and goals, like our purpose in life, our calling and our source of joy and strengths.
    Psalm 23
    The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures,
    he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.

    A fresh start reminds us of God’s forgiveness in our lives. It then leads us to see others as how God sees us and exhibit the same grace and forgiveness to others.

      If there is one thing God has been teaching me this this new year it’s reminding me that I will never be perfect and will tend to always fall and sin but He doesn’t just live me there hanging as long as we realized our mistakes He is always there to give us a FRESH NEW START through His forgiveness. 🙂 In this way we can confidently share God’s love to others as how He showed His love to us without holding on to the sins that we’ve done in the past 🙂

    We need fresh start because God had given us another year to start something new. Another year to change. To be brave.
